Gay Wedding is the fifth episode of Season Two. It is the sixteenth episode of Superjail overall.

Plot[]

The episode starts with a married couple standing by Niagara Falls. The groom is about to take a picture of his wife, but Jacknife appears to grab the camera and orders them to hand over their money. As the groom gets out his wallet, Jacknife grabs it and kicks the couple off of the railing. Jacknife runs away, but ends up knocking over other people in the way. Two policemen see this crime and speed after him on Segways. However, Jacknife manages to evade them by hiding inside a barrel. The barrel is then bumped by a fat man on a scooter, causing it to roll away and break through a rail, which sends Jacknife plummeting down a waterfall and sinks into the waters, which are full of dead corpses of people who have drowned. Jacknife soon finds a can of beer attached to a fishing hook and drinks from it, but the hook catches him through his lip, right before seeing Jailbot, who strips off all of his clothing and flesh. The skeleton of Jacknife ends up floating in the waters while the rest of Jacknife is stuffed into a tuna tin, which Jailbot carries off to Superjail, starting up the intro.

Jean and Paul have decided to tie the knot, but want a small ceremony. When word comes to Alice and The Warden, they decide to make their own changes to the wedding. A gigantic party is being organized by Alice and the Warden, but when things turn ugly, Jean dissolves the engagement, leading to the Double Rainbows and Purple Pythons coming back to Superjail. The episode ends with Jean and Paul being reunited with each other.

Cultural References[]

  • The fight between the Double Rainbows and Purple Pythons is a parody of the 1961 film West Side Story.
  • In the episode's Outer World intro, you can see two Outer Worlds showing Raymond Scott, an American composer, band leader, pianist, record producer and electronic instrument inventor, composing sound on a keyboard, and a pop-art comic titled "Sir and Miss", which is most likely a parody of Roy Lichtenstein’s artwork.
  • During the flashback sequence, Jean and Paul are shown munching on a hot dog in a similar fashion to the spaghetti scene from the Disney film The Lady and the Tramp.
